I would like, this morning, to make a point of historic significance, and in that effort correct the myth of this flag being anything other than representative of a failed, repugnant, treasonous to the United States political and social movement. The confederacy was about slavery, and if you deny that, you are either a racist yourself, or absolutely ignorant.
There he said, where he explains very clearly what the Confederate flag stands for;
“Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner- stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition. This, our new government, is the first, in the history of the world, based upon this great physical, philosophical, and moral truth.”
This flag should never see the light of day in this country, publicly or privately.
