Yesterday, I asked folks to help me understand why there was such a need for the Republican candidates and some of you to deny the racial motivation of the Charleston terrorist for killing those 9 folks. None of the answers made sense to me. There were the usual answers from the usual suspects.
“You didn’t ask about the Democrats.” Followed by nothing addressing the question asked. This is known as a handwave and is a favorite tactic of those who are stuck in a corner and can’t find their way out.
“Asking this is racist and, thus, supports the Charleston terrorist’s wish for a race war. You are a bad person for even bringing it up”. Followed by more nothing addressing the question asked. This is known as a modified ad hominem and is the favorite tactic of the “colorblind” Conservative whose ox has just been gored.
This morning I read statement below in an article. It was a comment on what is really meant by those who say the “don’t see color” or are “colorblind”:
“Not only can’t I hear what you are saying, I need to stop you from saying it.”
There you go.
